Brett Helm — CEO & Board Chairman
Brett Helm is the leader of DB Networks for both the Board of Directors and the company’s direction. Brett brings over 25 years of executive management experience in Information Technology to DB Networks. Previously, as Coradiant's CEO and Chairman, he oversaw the development of technology to optimize web applications performance management. In 2011, Coradiant was acquired by BMC Software. As President and CEO of IPivot, he helped create the industry's first SSL acceleration appliances and Layer 7-aware traffic management equipment. IPivot was acquired by Intel. Prior to that Brett served as General Manager at @Work and held sales positions at US West. He was an Air Force Officer and a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Brett earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Utah.

Steven D. Hunt — President & COO
Steve is responsible for leading the development and operation of the company. Prior to DB Networks Steve was SVP, Engineering and Operations at Coradiant and later was a member of their Technical Advisory Board before it was acquired by BMC Software. Steve was an early employee and VP Engineering at Netsift (acquired by Cisco Systems in 2005). He was also an early employee at Copper Mountain (IPO in 1999), holding several positions starting as VP Engineering and later GM & SVP Engineering. Steve spent many years at Bell Labs, including heading their Internetworking Department. Steve earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Drexel and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

David Rosenberg — CTO of Products
Dave is DB Networks CTO of Products responsible for leading the advanced technical research and patent development. Prior to joining the company, Dave served as VP of Engineering at WireCache, where he and his team developed the industry’s first general purpose, Oracle database accelerator appliance. DB Networks acquired this important technology in 2009 which brought Dave and WireCache team into DB Networks. Dave brings more than 30 years of technology development experience, including ten years at VP level for Oracle Corporation’s server technology. Dave earned his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering/Fluid Mechanics from UC Berkeley, and served in the Air Force for six years, where he earned his M.S. in Astronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.(yes, he is a rocket scientist!).

Michael Sabo — VP, Marketing
Michael leads the market research, positioning, communications, and promotions for DB Networks. Michael’s extensive background in marketing, strategic planning, and product engineering was gained from his tenure at Intel Corporation, US West (now CenturyLink), and Contel (now Verizon) as well as start-ups AirFiber and Rhythms NetConnections. In 1995 while at US West, he developed and launched !NTERACT Internet Security as an earliest example of a cloud-based Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) service. Michael earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Wright State University and Masters degree from the University of Denver.

Eric Varsanyi — CTO, Architecture
Eric Varsanyi is a technical visionary. He lays the foundation for what products DB Networks builds and the platform they are built on. Eric was a principal engineer with WireCache since its inception and was responsible for the product's overall architecture. Prior to WireCache, Eric was principal architect in Intel's Network Division, Advanced Development Lab, where he designed a loosely coupled distributed L2 through L7 network switching system. He designed and implemented a transparent SSL accelerator appliance for IPivot (acquired by Intel for $500M). Other notable projects include multithreading the BSD kernel at Berkeley Software Design and launching Cray-3/Cray-4 prototype hardware along with porting SVR4 Unix, while at the Cray Computer Corporation.
